Yesterday I swam 5200m – that's 260 lengths of our 20m pool – equal to 3.2 miles / 5.2 km.
Basically I got in the pool at 14.30, which is quite an inconvenient time of the day if you're planning to do anything else, so with that in mind, I just decided to keep swimming and then rest in the evening.
I'm doing the 22 Push Up Challenge to raise awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I'm then swimming at least 22 miles and running no less than 10. This is to take my own health very seriously and also to help raise just £500 for Combat Stress – the veterans' mental health charity.
